Free trial, development stores, and existing installs
- Every new install starts with a 7-day free trial on either plan.
- Development stores use the app free. Shopify issues test charges only.
- Stores that installed the app before October 7, 2026 keep it free, with every feature. A reinstall counts as a new install.
What counts as an active function
- A function counts as active when it is on. A discount scheduled to start later also counts.
- Lite allows up to 2 active functions at once. Pro sets no limit of its own.
- Turning a function off or deleting it always works, on either plan.
Limits that still apply, and whose they are
- Shopify enforces its own active-function limits on every plan, such as 25 active functions per type per store. Check the current limits when planning multiple functions.
- The Function size meter estimates configuration usage. Rules in the same function share its budget.
- On US and Canadian stores that are not on Shopify Plus, Shopify ignores hide, rename, and move on the main credit card option.
- Cart transform line updates, payment terms, and B2B order review are Plus features by Shopify's rules.
